This is, to my knowledge, my earliest true art endeavor that is finished.  Its kinda abstract.
This picture is of a part of some kind of historical building in Michigan.  Maybe some kind of mill.
This is sort of a concept drawing done in colored pencil of...well, of a castle.
Colored pencil rendition of a part of the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C.
Funky row of birds from a picture taken from a pet shop.
My own idea.  I love coming up with new buildings and environments.
I personally like this picture the best.  Its my own design of a commercial building.  I thought it looked kind of cool.

These are two of my pieces of artwork that I have done.  The top piece is one of my earliest entries in art at the Shiawassee county fair.  The picture of the spider is done in pen and ink, and the other is done in pencil.  I will put more up soon.

Trombone Shorty vs. Wynton Marsalis

this video is of Wynton Marsalis and a trumpet/trombone player who has a lot of skill. I particularly like the sound of his trombone playing. Its not quite as mellow as trombones usually sound. He also has a fairly new CD out called Backatown which is very good. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell his name. His real name is Troy Andrews, but his stage name is Trombone Shorty. This nickname was given to him when he was little because he started playing trombone at like 5 or 6. The trombone was taller than he was, hence the name.

Pretty cool awards

This is a website that I just recently found.  It has some great examples of CG architecture, and it is a lot of fun to look through the past winners of these awards.  Truly great artists.(click on the title to get to the website)

Hot day

Wow.  Today was definitely the warmest day this year.  Our car thermostat said 95.  It also happened to be the day that my family decided to take a trip to the University of Michigan's botanical gardens(which happen to be mostly outdoors).  Despite the heat, we had an excellent time, and I(hopefully) was able to get some nice pictures of plants and such.  I will be SO happy when(or if) my family gets air conditioning.  Michigan truly is a place of extreme weather.  In the winter, we freeze our rear ends off, and in the summer we burn like small bits of bacon.  I was thinking today(while I was sweating profusely), about something.  One of the human body's main ingredients is water, correct?  Well, when we sweat, isn't that kind of like melting?  Just something to think about.

Don Ellis Orchestra - 33 222 1 222

HSMA picnic

Tonight was the Homeschool Music Association's annual picnic!!  Three hours of almost nothing but playing soccer with 50 kids on the field was very tiring.  Nonetheless, a terrific evening.  After the picnic my family drove to Lansing and picked up Alanna, my sister.  Alanna has been in Colorado the last couple days at a friends wedding.  Fun stuff.  Now, I am the only one up in my house(once again).  In other news, you should all check out a guy named Don Ellis.  Trumpet player and large group leader sometime in the mid 1900s.  He has some of the best music that I have ever heard!

Delfeayo Marsalis

Delfeayo Marsalis
Little brother of Wynton Marsalis. Had no idea he did anything, but I guess he does!

My Thoughts on Bedtime

Well, its getting close to the time now when my parents tell me, "Go to bed".  Not "Go to sleep." No, they tell me to go to bed.  I think its mostly because they don't want me clicking away on the computer outside their bedroom for hours.  They would probably agree with me.
I am a night person.  My most productive time to work at school was about 1 in the morning.  At home, that doesn't fly. Oh well.

Ibrahim Maalouf - Esse Emme

This is a great video of a very interesting trumpet player, Ibrahim Maalouf. He plays on a quarter tone trumpet, allowing him some very different sonic possibilities. If you don't know what a quarter tone is, talk to me.

New stuff

Hello everybody,
This is all new to me because...well, because I just started.  Obviously, I am not going to be perfect at this, but I hope to share some of my thoughts, interests, and art on here.  We'll see how it goes.
